The YO1 Radio Sports Awards 2025 supported by York College & University Centre, are coming to York Barbican on in June as we celebrate our area's best sportspeople, coaches, teams and sporting communities - and you can be a part of this amazing event because ....

Nominations in our 12 sporting categories are now CLOSED. We've had OVER 400 NOMINATIONS, which will present our judges with a tough but rewarding task!

HEADLINE SPONSOR

It's been a busy week as nominations came to a close and as tickets have gone on sale. we were also delighted to announce our HEADLINE SPONSOR for the prestigious event - YORK COLLEGE & UNIVERSITY CENTRE.

The College, situated on Sim Blak Lane, offers a wide range of education options across entry level, through to degrees, higher technical qualification, accredited professional courses and apprenticeships. In addition, the College has a Sports Development Centre, where the announcement was made, and where student athletes from 16 to 19 can combine a full-time education programme with high quality coaching in Men’s and Women’s football, rugby league, basketball and netball.
