YORK'S transport boss has suggested some form of congestion charge should be introduced in the city to help cut car use and tackle the climate emergency.

• A YORK couple who first met at a scuba diving club party are celebrating 60 years of marriage together today (Thursday, July 31).

  Janet Purt and husband Stan, both 83, who live in Stockton Lane, are celebrating six happy decades together after meeting for the first time at a party thrown for Stan’s scuba diving club in 1963.
