A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of wounding following a disturbance which caused traffic chaos in York.
North Yorkshire Police say they were called to reports of a fight close to Ouse Bridge in the city centre at about 4.12pm on Friday (April 25).
As The Press reported at the time, one lane of the carriageway was closed off for several hours which caused queueing traffic as a knock-on across the city.
A police spokesman said: "On arrival, officers found a man in his 40s with a wound to his head.
"He was taken to hospital for treatment.
"A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of wounding and taken into police custody for questioning.
