As The Press reported, five fire engines and a water bowser tackled the blaze in Brandsby, near Easingwold, from about 4am today (Monday, August 19).
At 9am two fire engines were left at the agricultural building on standby.
They will remain there for the rest of the day to monitor the scene, a Helmsley Fire Station spokesperson said.
Malton Fire station shared images of the blaze on Facebook, showing equipment on fire inside the barn with smoke billowing out of the structure.
Both of Malton station’s fire engines attended the scene with crews on standby in Tadcaster to cover the area, a fire service spokesperson said.
Other crews came from Easingwold, Helmsley, Acomb and Boroughbridge.
