Aldi – the UK’s fourth largest supermarket- has made the move as part of a national campaign to ask people where new Aldi stores should be opened.
In North Yorkshire, Aldi says it is already seeking sites in York, Harrogate and Scarborough.
Earlier this year, the discount retailer unveiled plans to expand its supermarket on Fulford Road, York.
Last May, Aldi gave a refit to its Huntington supermarket.
The plea comes as rival retailer Lidl recently announced expansion plans, with it seeking five sites in York at Askham, Boroughbridge Road, Clifton, Fulford and Hull Road.
It's other sought sites in North and East Yorkshire include Tadcaster, Ripon, Harrogate North, Harrogate South, Ilkley, Otley and Market Weighton. Lidl also recently received planning approval for a store in Wetherby, West Yorkshire.
