A LANDMARK meeting has taken place in York for the city's first anti-racism taskforce.

York's Anti-Racism Task Force convened here in June and the chair of York-based Inclusive Equal Rights UK (IERUK)

Haddy Njie, has thanked all those Allies who are helping change attitudes.

Writing a column for The Press, Haddy said: "If you said to me in 2020, when we started making strategic moves for the city’s anti-racism mission that we will be in a historic position in 2024, I’d say, you must be living in La La land.
