A CHILDREN'S charity trustee says she's been banned from social media for six months after being accused of child sexual exploitation.

Lesley Jones, of Steve Coates Music Productions, says Meta (formerly the Facebook company) has banned her from their platforms at a crucial time for ticket sales for upcoming fundraising shows for Snappy.

Meta says her account is still under investigation and they cannot comment further at this stage.

Originally founded in 1985, Snappy (Special Needs Activities and Play Provision for York) was created by four parents who wanted to support their children over the school holidays when they had more limited time with friends.

Lesley is a trustee of the charity and normally handles ticket sales through her Facebook account, which she claims has been hacked.

But she said a post suddenly and briefly appeared on her page inciting people to join a terrorist organisation along with distressing images of a violent and sexual nature.
