York: Knife-threat officers also uncover suspected Class A drug-dealing offences

North Yorkshire Police were called to an address on Fossway in York at lunchtime on Tuesday (8 April 2025) following reports of a man making threats with a knife.

Local officers quickly responded and arrested a 24-year-old man at the scene.

A 19-year-old man, who was wanted in connection with a domestic incident earlier that morning, was also arrested.

During a search of the property, officers discovered what is believed to be a quantity of class A drugs and a 24-year-old woman was arrested.

All three were further arrested on suspicion of Class A drug supply offences and have been released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.

The police can reassure nearby residents that this was an isolated incident. We are committed to responding swiftly and decisively to any individual engaging in such dangerous behaviour within our communities.

Local officers are continuing to patrol the area to maintain safety.
