Police Appeal for Witnesses Following Serious Collision Near York

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage following a serious collision on the A166 Stamford Bridge Road, near Dunnington.

The incident occurred at around 3:07pm on Monday 12 May, involving a black BMW X1 car and a grey BMW motorbike. The motorcyclist sustained life-changing injuries and was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary, where he remains in a serious condition.

The road was closed for several hours to allow emergency services to attend the scene and carry out a full investigation. Both vehicles were recovered following the incident.

Officers are now appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either vehicle in the moments beforehand, or has relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.
