CCTV appeal after York shop robbery and theft

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information about a robbery and theft that occurred at a shop in York.

The incident happened in the Co-op store on Paragon Street, at about 6.10pm on Sunday 24 September 2023.

It involved a man and a woman selecting items to the value of about £77 before leaving via the main entrance, making no attempt to pay. The woman pushed a member of staff in the chest area when they tried to challenge her.

North Yorkshire Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help identify a man and a woman pictured on CCTV, as they may have information that could assist the investigation.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should call North Yorkshire Police on 101, quoting incident reference 12230181463.
