Appeal after suspected hate-motivated damage caused to car in York

Did you see any suspicious people or activity on Tatton Close in York overnight on 7 to 8 April?

North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after a black Renault car was extensively damaged between 10pm on Monday 7 April and 9.30am on Tuesday 8 April.

The car was parked outside a home address when the suspect(s) smashed its windscreen, nearside windows and let the tyres down.

The police suspect the incident is hate-related and are appealing to anyone with any doorbell cameras, private CCTV in the area to check their cameras for any footage of the incident or suspicious people in the area at the time.

The police are also appealing to any other victims of similar damage to come forward if they have not reported it to the police.
