A top York hotel is all set to usher in the festive season with its Christmas lights switch-on.
Following on from its 'busiest ever' festive season last year, The Grand in Station Rise, is inviting people to watch as their Christmas lights sparkle into life from 5.25pm today (Friday November 14).
The switch-on will be followed by a performance from a local choir and everyone can take part in a charity raffle and meet the team from Cash For Kids who work to improve the lives of children affected by poverty, illness, neglect or who have additional needs.
A hotel spokesperson said: "Enjoy the warmth of mulled wine, tea, and coffee from our festive tents, along with homemade crumble and donuts served fresh from the kitchen.
"Step inside to enjoy a selection of festive cocktails in The 1906 Bar or continue your evening with a festive dinner in The Rise Restaurant, where you can relax, dine, and soak up the warm Christmas atmosphere with family and friends."
